Booking & Cancellation
To book onto a course, guided day or activity with Lake District Mountaineering please fill in the information on the enquiry form on our Book Now page. Here you will be able to select your dates, activity and leave any comments regarding a booking. We will be contact with you as soon as we can to confirm the booking.
Your booking and spaces won't be confirmed until we receive a form of payment.
For bookings in advance, we will ask for a 50% deposit if you don't want to pay the full amount up front, this will be expected within 7 days.
For bookings within 30 days of the event, we will ask for full payment within 7 days.
If you have purchased vouchers with us, then please contact us to use them. We are happy to discuss group discount if mentioned when booking.
Our calendar page displays all of our courses and there remaining spaces to outline the availability and demand. The calendar will fill up throughout the year as book we in private days, guided itineraries and activity sessions. If the calendar is full or a day is blocked we would encourage you to enquire anyway as we may source an associate instructor to run your session.
All prices are detailed under each activity. If you wish to book on a larger group than the specified max ratio, contact us directly for an individual quotation.
In the unlikely event we have to cancel, we will offer a full refund if an alternate date can't be offered.
Winter course conditions: It may be necessary to change the outline of the courses to offer general mountaineering/mountain skills programmes with part refunds.
We can also issue vouchers to be used on other events or sessions with us.
Should you wish to cancel, we are flexible where possible and can possibly re-arrange dates for a more convenient time. If the cancellation is within 30 days then we may reserve the right to retain the deposit paid. If cancellation is within 14 days of the activity we may reserve the right to retain the full amount.
