Stickle Ghyll is based in the Langdale Valley.
We will meet you on location at the Sticklebarn car park where you will be provided with all the equipment for a fun trip up the gorge.
This session is up to 2.5 hours long.
We will enter via a crystal clear pool - splash around, get wet and embrace the water before we journey upwards.
Our journey will include scrambles and climbs, roped climbs up waterfalls and cascades, fallen trees and boulders to hop over and duck under.
We will play some fun games and get you immersed and submerged in the plentiful plunge pools.
This is a great trip ideal for beginner Ghyll scramblers and families alike!
The experience can be tailored to the group, allowing for easier and harder variations depending on age and ability levels. Contact us to find out more! Wetsuits, harnesses, helmets and technical equipment will be provided. Please wear swimwear under the wetsuit and bring a towel and a hot drink for afterwards. Sturdy trainers or walking boots are advised - no open toe footwear or water shoes.

The ghyll has lots of fun challenges but everything is optional

We provide wetsuits, harness, spray cags, helmets and bouyancy aids,
You will need to bring sturdy trainers, a change of clothes and a towel
This session is based at Stickle Ghyll, Great Langdale

This is our least aquatic ghyll - meaning we run into November if the weather allows - staying drier outside of April-October
Subject to instructor availability we can run these sessions on any day between 1st April & 31st October - a drier ascent will be recommended outside of these dates
Open session where possible - we will book other people when appropriate to do so

If cancellation occurs within 30 days of the course or activity, we will retain 50% of the full price (your deposit).
