This is proper mountaineering in a dramatic location. High in the mountains and dramatic scenery, climb winter ridges, snow gullies and classic routes on Ben Nevis, Glen Coe and the surrounding highlands. 

This service is offered in the Lake District should conditions allow.

Ratios

1:2 Ratio

Our instructors can lead up to 2 people in the mountains.

 

A party larger than 2 will require multiple guides - we can accommodate this on enquiry.

Pre-Requisites 

Hill walking experience is necessary 

A basic winter skills course is desirable 

We can accommodate your experience level - route choices will be discussed during the booking stage 

We can run the day in line with your experiences and skillset and tailor the day for you. 

Equipment

We will share kit lists with you during the booking stage

You will need to wear suitable outdoor clothing (warm and waterproof) and suitable mountain footwear (B2 boots)

A good rucksack to carry everything you need for the day is essential as you will need more equipment in the winter 

Venue

Our venues are carefully selected and tailored to get the most out of the programme. 

This itinerary is selected to showcase the best of what can be achieved on the given day and we will take into consideration route conditions and avalanche forecasts.

We can supply additional instructors for larger groups - 1:2 ratio for safety in this terrain. For every 2 people we can supply an additional guide.
