Who is coming? Your instructors use these details to plan the day.

Place 1

Participants must be 16 or over. Anyone aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the course.

Equipment

Please let us know what equipment each participant needs LDM to provide for this course.

LDM can provide

  • Technical axes (a pair)
  • Crampons
  • Helmet
  • Harness
  • B2 winter boots

Bring your own

  • Rucksack
  • Map and compass
  • Waterproofs and insulating layers
  • Spare gloves, hat and goggles
  • Headtorch with spare power
  • Personal climbing equipment, if you own it

Winter boots

B3 boots are preferred for winter climbing, though suitable B2 boots can work for some climbs. We can provide B2 boots, not B3: ask us about a supplier.

Before you book

  • You should meet the course prerequisites and have a good level of fitness.
  • Equipment is requested for each participant separately.
  • Full kit list, meeting point and joining information will be available in your account after booking.
  • Medical, Emergency & Consent Form: complete your participant information, emergency contact, relevant medical details and consent in your account before your course.
