ML Navigation & Setting the Standard
Pathway: Leadership
A focused Mountain Leader navigation workshop designed to show candidates what good assessment-standard navigation looks like in practice.
Leadership
Six days of training, feedback and mountain experience for the Mountain Leader pathway.
£495 per person
Mountain Leader Training is the formal training stage of the Mountain Training: Mountain Leader qualification. The six-day course explores the full syllabus through practical mountain journeys, leadership tasks and an overnight expedition, with time to understand both the required standard and how to develop towards assessment. Our approach is supportive and direct. You will work with more than one trainer, receive specific feedback and leave with clear priorities for your consolidation period. Completing training does not award the qualification; assessment is a separate stage.
Based in the Lake District. We choose the exact venue around conditions and the skills being practised.

You must be 18 or over, registered on the Mountain Leader scheme and have logged at least 20 quality mountain days. Registration requires at least a year of mountain-walking experience and mountaineering-council membership. Read Mountain Training's current requirements before booking.
