Course Outline
This course is aimed at people with some scrambling experience and want to progress their understanding in order to stay safe on steeper ground and grade 1/2 terrain.
The topics this course will focus on are:

Technical equipment for scrambling

Guidebook interpretation

Safe decision making

Route finding - deciding when to use a rope

Basic knots and hitches

Looking at further climbing hardware- slings and carabiners

Selecting natural rock anchors

How to belay - direct, indirect, body belay etc

Abseiling with the rope only
We will cover all technical skills in ascent and descent, this will provide an all round understanding of the techniques we teach, their implementation and ultimately their limitations.
