Course Outline

Are you looking to take the next steps to becoming an independent climber? Our learn to lead course will get you there.

This 3 day course will start off with skill refinement and reinforcement of safe systems, good gear placement and an understanding of basic climbing principles.

Day 2 will consist of a series of exercises including ghost roping and in series climbing to getting ready for the first lead which will take place on the last day.  These methods will introduce understanding towards runner placement and management, stance organisation and belay changeovers.

The last day is focussed on you and your leading. Your first lead will be watched closely and route selection will be discussed.  The instructor is there to coach you 1:1 as they will be on a self line system next to you as you climb.
