Our private guided days allow us to focus on you and your climbing partner, this allows for tailored instruction and coaching to take place.

On enquiry we will discuss your objectives and aspirations as well as your experience levels, this will allow for us to create a bespoke programme for you.

This experience is designed to get you onto the sport climbing venues in the Lakes.

There has been lots of focus on sport climbing and its development in recent years, with lots of renovation as well as newly bolted areas on slate, micro granite and sandstone.

This variety of rock means we can explore many different venues, from the coast of St Bees to the slate quarries in Coniston.

Sport climbing is often a great way to transition from indoor to outdoor climbing.  Develop your skills with LDM - either by letting us guide you and put the ropes/quick draws in place or by taking some focussed sport climbing instruction throughout the day.

This includes:

  • Clipping bolts

  • Avoiding back clipping/Z clipping

  • Threading anchors and lower offs

  • Movement coaching

  • Lead belaying

  • Different belay devices their uses

  • Confidence building

  • Lots of climbing

We will match the climbs and venues to your aspirations and expectations - venues we use include:

  • St Bees

  • Runestone Quarry

  • Bram Crag Quarry

And more!

There is a lifetimes worth of climbing just in the Lakes.
