This is our intermediate Ghyll Scramble. Church Beck is based in Coniston.

This session is up to 3 hours long.

We will meet you on location and provide you with all the kit needed for jumping and scrambling in the gorge.  After a 15 minute walk we will enter the Ghyll.

We will play some fun games and scramble upwards.  We will encounter some roped climbing, some deep water traversing and we will be fully immersed in the waterfalls and plunge pools.

For those wishing to complete some jumps - we will exit the water and head upstream.  Getting back in at the Miners Bridge, from here we will jump and slide our way back down the gorge.

The jumps encountered here are varying in difficulty and height and a roped lower can always be taken if you'd prefer.  The finale to this section of the canyon is the infamous slide of Church Beck - sitting on the rock slide you will shoot down and into the deep pool below.

Are you ready for an epic day? Contact us to book.

Wetsuits, harnesses, helmets and technical equipment will be provided. Please wear swimwear under the wetsuit and bring a towel and a hot drink for afterwards.  Sturdy trainers or walking boots are advised - no open toe footwear or water shoes.
