The company is run by Sam Marsland. Both professionally and personally, Sam has been involved in hill walking, rock climbing and mountaineering for over ten years. He has an enthusiasm for the natural environment and a passion for outdoor learning. Sam is excited to share his technical skills and mountain knowledge to offer an inspired and educational day in his company.
Sam's experience ranges from UK mountaineering, to rock climbing in North America and alpine climbing across Europe, along with guiding on the glaciers and summits in Iceland.
Sam holds a BA (Hons) degree in Outdoor Leadership from the University of Cumbria. He has undergone training and assessment in the Summer & Winter Mountain Leader awards and also holds the Rock Climbing Instructor award. Sam also holds the NNAS Navigation Tutor Award. These qualifications were achieved through the Mountain Training Association.
